||||||||||||||||||||||||| Fem Simulation of Double Diiusive Convective F L O Ws Using an Object Oriented Approach

We present results for numerical simulations of double di usive convection in a rectangular cavity in a variety of situations. The simulations are performed using a streamline-upwind Petrov-Galerkin penalty nite-element method. The uid is modeled as a Boussinesq uid and the Navier Stokes equations are solved in conjunction with the time dependent scalar-convection di usion equations for temperature and solute concentration elds. The whole simulation is carried out in an object oriented environment and some details on the various classes developed are presented.
